Scope
For my Senior Illustration class, we were tasked to create three New York Times Book Review illustrations. The three books we had to illustrate were supposed to be different in nature so we could create three different editorials. Below are the three illustrations I created.

Looking at all three illustrations, my approach differed between them. Yet, I wanted to take a painterly approach with all three editorial covers becasue of my extensive fine art background. I believe that the stark and clean-cut design of the words on the page will directly contrast agains the flowy, colorful drawings I used to display the book’s importance. This juxtaposition was necessary in my mind, and I wanted to make sure all three covers were all understandable, despite being from different subject matters.
