cruel summer zine

Scope

For my first Senior Illustration project, we had to illustrate an 8-page zine that represented what we felt during quarantine and COVID-19. As an interpersonal dive into this project, I decided to showcase my own mental health experiences during the start of the pandemic. Drawn with Posca paint markers, I drew raw, graphic self portraits and described my feelings the best way I knew how.

I wanted to ensure my final result was emotive and relatable. Although the subject matter could be seen as quite heavy, I was happy to showcase my own thoughts and feelings. This Quarantine Zine was the most personal project I have ever authored at Tyler.
